Operations Support

Scott-Woods Transport is seeking to fill the position of Operations Support.  The successful candidate will be responsible for shared dispatch and heavy haul operations support functions in a team environment. The candidate should have strong computer, analytical, organizational skills with proven success in meeting timelines and a strong sense of best-in-class customer service. This position will offer the candidate hands-on training in transportation management with an emphasis on the niche oversize market, where the opportunity for advancement is boundless.

Reporting directly to the Vice President and Operations Manager, responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Order intake via the phones, e-mail and other sources
  • Fleet management ensuring all delivery requirements are met
  • Maximize asset utilization and efficiencies
  • Point of contact between customers, drivers, warehouse and maintenance staff and regulatory offices
  • Complete data entry for reporting requirements, analysis, and tracking requirements
  • Seek to develop more efficient methods for all processes within the network to ensure effective and efficient delivery of customer service
  • Manage various project implementations which may include collaborating with internal and external resources
  • Maintain constant and precise communication between the dispatch and heavy haul departments

  • Previous experience in transportation is an asset
