Responsibilities
- Operate various tractor trailer combinations throughout Canada and the USA
- Load, secure, transport and deliver freight of legal and oversized dimensions
- Document handling; Bills of Lading, timesheets, etc.
- Daily pre and post trip equipment inspections
- Strict adherence to all safety protocols
- Compliance with all jurisdictional regulations
Requirements
- Valid AZ license
- Clean Drivers Abstract and Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR)
- Active Canadian passport and qualifying admission into the USA
- Minimum one year of driving experience
Skills
- Oversized freight experience an asset
- Knowledge of border crossing protocol
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Fitness to meet physical demands
- Professional demeanour
- Self-reliance and resourcefulness
We offer
- All hourly paid rates (no mileage schedule) and salaried program
- $35.00 base rate with graduated OD rates up to $60.00 per hour
- USA premium
- Overtime paid weekly after 55 accumulated hours
- Cash reimbursement for all layovers
- Rooms PER driver (no sharing) paid by receipt
- Daily meals allowance on all overnights
- Yearly uniform program
- Out of country medical coverage (from the date of hire)
