Scottwoods

As a proudly Canadian company, we recognize that the work we do takes place on lands that have been stewarded by Indigenous Peoples for generations. We acknowledge the history, resilience, and continued presence of First Nations, Inuit, and M?tis communities across the regions we operate in, more specifically the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation, who are part of the Anishinaabe (Ojibwe) people and are the primary First Nation associated with the Sutton, Ontario area. We also recognize that this land has long been home to other Indigenous Peoples such as the Haudenosaunee and Huron-Wendat.

At Scott-Woods, respect goes beyond words. We are committed to prioritizing Indigenous projects, supporting Indigenous-owned businesses, and fostering opportunities for Indigenous employees and partners wherever possible. These relationships matter, and we believe they strengthen both our industry and our communities.

Recognizing the past is an important part of moving forward. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to learning, listening, and working with respect on the land we call home.

We’re always happy to support projects, partnerships, or initiatives that give back to Indigenous communities. If you’d like to collaborate, please contact our sales team at sales@scottwoodstransport.com, we’d love to help.
